DroneTanks will first launch on Steam for PC at the end of 2026. A cross-platform release on Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch will follow about a year later, made possible by our lightweight rendering pipeline. Final platform availability may still depend on development progress.
Yes! We plan to support crossplay so players on different platforms can battle together seamlessly.
The Steam version of DroneTanks will launch as a paid game, priced at €20. The console versions will be priced similarly. For the multiplayer, we're exploring a free-to-play model, depending on player interest and support. Stay tuned as we finalize our plans!
Absolutely! Players will be able to personalize their tanks with cosmetic upgrades such as custom
horn sounds, unique trails, exhaust effects, and projectile visuals through microtransactions or
game coins.
In our early development phase, we plan to update the game on a monthly basis,
accompanied by free demo sessions through our Discord community. Once we move
beyond that phase, updates will occur seasonally, with major updates introducing new content and
features, along with minor bug fixes in between to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.

aspiring and experienced developers alike.
We're looking for young and professional talents with skills in 3D modeling or digital art, and
gameplay programming or multiplayer server development. That said, it can go beyond these areas, so
don't hesitate to reach out if you have other skills to offer, we'd love to hear from you!
Yes! Every team member will receive credit for their contributions. You're also free to showcase
your work in your portfolio, regardless of the game's release date. In fact, we actively encourage
our team to share their work through devlogs and updates to build excitement around the project.
However, we ask contributors to be mindful about revealing key insights into the game's mechanics,
design, or unique features to prevent others from replicating them. Additionally, exclusive content
should be shared strategically to maintain our competitive edge.
We're still in the early stages of development, but we're actively growing and excited about what's ahead. We're currently applying for VAF prototype funding to support early contributions, and we aim to offer proper pay starting after our vertical slice, planned for early 2026.
